How to deal with Premature Ejaculation.

What is Premature ejaculation

Premature Ejaculation (PE) is a kind of sexual dysfunction. It is the medical name for the quick release of semen either before or shortly after sexual penetration. 30 seconds to 2 minutes qualify for severe premature ejaculation because research has shown that the average time it takes for a man to ejaculate during intercourse is four to six minutes (Porn is unrealistic)

When PE happens, there is little or no sexual stimulation and the person releases before the person wishes to end sex. This may result in unsatisfactory sex for both partners as ejaculation is the peak of sexual arousal and the man can rarely perform optimally after ejaculation. Most men wouldn’t even be able to provide pleasure to the woman via romance and sex play after they ejaculate.

However, It is important to note that premature ejaculation is more common you think and you are not abnormal. In fact, every man who is sexually active has experienced premature ejaculation at least twice.


Unfortunately, the causes of premature ejaculation are not fully understood so there is no universally known cause for PE but common causes would include Psychological issues like Anxiety and Depression, very sensitive skin on the Penis and even Hormonal Imbalance.

Psychological Issues include anxiety and depression but I would like to lay emphasis on people who from a very long time maybe since thirteen or so they want to ejaculate as quickly as possible. They want to ejaculate almost immediately they start any sexual encounter so as not to get caught. Even while masturbating their brain is saying “hey semen come out as quickly as possible so I can get out”. This causes PE even when you are grown up and have all the time in the world to enjoy sex the brain does what it has been trained to do which is to “Dump the sperm as quickly as possible and move on.”

With anxiety, it’s all about the mind for example when you are thinking, “Finally, it’s about to go down, I really can’t believe this. look at her smoooooooth laps, pinch me am I really in bed with her” trust me you are going to ejaculate seconds to a minute after you penetrate. Secondly, are you under mental pressure to impress your partner? Are you comfortable with your partner? Or do you feel anxious around your partner? If not, that’s another recipe for PE.

As a teenager is quite normal to have hormonal imbalance and a degree of PE but stress and anxiety can also cause hormone imbalances. Inappropriate levels of hormones can cause dysfunction of the ejaculatory mechanism. The treatment is eating to balance your hormone levels, do exercise and take supplements. Many people will tell you that there is no cure to Premature Ejaculation and taking drugs will do you no good in the long term but the good thing is that there are premature ejaculation exercises that would help curb PE in the long term.

The squeeze technique – is simply a distraction method where you pound until you sense that you are about to release semen then you interrupt the sex. You or your partner squeezes the shaft of your penis between a thumb and two fingers for 20 seconds. This pressure should be applied just below the head of the penis. After 20 seconds you can resume and pound slowly don’t thrust.

 There are variants to this technique if you’re the type that his brain has been conditioned to dump semen as quickly as possible and move on, you can Masturbate. yeah, that’s right masturbating with a different mindset of not wanting to ejaculate for the next 30 minutes. Train your body to delay ejaculation; You masturbate until you get to the point where you are going to ejaculate and then stop, squeeze and think about something else. when you calm down, continue.

Some people have also said they benefitted from masturbating and releasing 1 or 2 hours before sex you can mix and match. Do the squeezing exercise then ejaculate after the allocated time then relax yourself with a lot of foreplay before sex to reduce anxiety. The foreplay should lay emphasis on satisfying her by Fingering, Eating her out, massage, etc.

Kegel Exercise – you must have heard of training the PC muscles, it works for some people or would I say it works for most people but my good friend bear in mind that KEGELS ALONE WILL NEVER BEAT PREMATURE EJACULATION you need to combine it with other techniques you need to do reverse Kegels also. I did not put this on top so that lazy readers won’t stop halfway then go and do it wrong for the rest of their lives.

Pelvic floor exercise or kegel is the contraction of the pubococcygeus (P.C.) muscles repetitively. When you are urinating, stop the stream midway and you’ve used your PC muscles.  You can feel them contract under your penis. The exercises involve flexing your PC muscles and holding them in a contracted position for ten seconds and then relax for five seconds. Do this 3 times in a row and practice 4 times every hour. Over time you strengthen the PC muscles but bear in mind that the pelvic floor muscles need to be relaxed during intercourse to last longer. Do not flex the PC during intercourse.

Reduce Sensation – For those with hypersensitive penis skin, you can try using a condom to reduce sensation provided to the penis thereby reducing the stimulation you experience during sex or use topical anesthetic creams that can partially numb the penis and reduce the sensation that leads to ejaculation.  You can also try a different position (such as lying on your back) during intercourse

Other treatment options for premature ejaculation include medications some people refer to them as Premature Ejaculation Pills. Delayed Ejaculation is a common side effect of certain drugs, particularly those used to treat depression even if you are not depressed this favorable side effect can help to postpone orgasm for up to several minutes.

These pills include Priligy, SSRIs, such as Prozac contains fluoxetine, Paxil contains paroxetine or  Anafranil contains clomipramine. Some other pills which are phosphodiesterase inhibitors help examples include – Cialis and Viagra but it is considered illegal in some countries, painkillers like tramadol do the same job.

Practice leads to perfection and perseverance breeds success you will not become superman overnight; you will fail a couple of times. I think you should be emotionally prepared for this else you lose more confidence.
